Galileo (satellite navigation) The European navigation system Galileo will start probably at the end of 2016 and will become full operational capability (FOC) in 2020. Our Navilock u-blox 8 receivers support Galileo since the firmware version 3.01.

The new GNSS system requires the version 4.1 of the NMEA 0183 protocol. The evaluation software uCenter displays the Galileo satellites.

Please notice the instruction for this update.
Option PPS (Pulse Per Second) The Pulse-Per-Second (PPS) signal is available on the mini DIN connector at PIN 6. It is synchronized with UTC time. A flexible power supply for PPS provides the integrated Darlington circuit and a pull-up resistor of 10 KOhm.
